Date of Disappearance: November 16, 2015
Location (Last Seen): Eufala, Oklahoma
Event Time: 11/16/2015, 8:16 am
Peggy McGuire, 28, was discovered missing on November 16, 2015 after she dropped her young son off at school. She was transitioning from a past relationship with Thomas McIntosh, who reportedly long abused her yet continued to live with him until she was able to move. The abuse had worsened since the time they met in high school. Thomas McIntosh was considered a jealous man, according to family and friends, and probably did not take the news well that Peggy had recently started dating while still living with him “platonically” in their home as later described in the police report. That fall, Peggy was determined to turn a chapter and make positive changes, which included finishing her nursing degree and leaving an abusive relationship. Peggy was beginning to realize that she just may accomplish a peaceful and positive future for herself and for her young son.
On the evening of Peggy’s disappearance, a male was spotted on CCTV video parking Peggy’s truck near an “ice house” or local bar and abandoning it. A witness and local resident describes seeing a man duck into the woods near that time so that he would not be seen. The McIntosh family are land owners and very well established in the town, causing some to wonder if there were conflicts of interest during the murder investigation and apparent search of the McIntosh property.
The person who took Peggy’s life is still at large. Over 11,000 people have joined Bring Peggy Home!!! on Facebook, not to mention thousands more on sleuth investigation sites online - all looking for answers about Peggy’s disappearance. It is reported that the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation waited three weeks to begin their investigation. Full details and DNA evidence have not been released, years later. Latest report
